Room Creation

Launch a networking room in under a minute.

Click + Create Room and select Speed-Networking Room from the dropdown. Enter a title and description, and the platform walks you through experience design, scheduling, and access settings in one guided flow. Matchmaking, timing, and transitions are all handled automatically.

  • Three room types — Instant Video Call, Video Room, or Speed-Networking Room from one dropdown.
  • Title & description — tell participants what to expect and suggest discussion topics.
  • Guided wizard — purpose, experience design, scheduling, and access in one step-by-step flow.

Role-Based Matching

Pair the right people with the right people.

Toggle on Enable role-based matching to define two roles — Investor and Founder, Mentor and Mentee, Employer and Candidate — then choose a matching mode. Opposite pairs Role 1 with Role 2. Same pairs peers within the same role. Without roles enabled, the platform defaults to random matching with no repeats.

  • Opposite mode — Role 1 always meets Role 2. Ideal for founder-investor or student-alumni events.
  • Same mode — Role 1 meets Role 1. Ideal for peer-to-peer exchange within a cohort.
  • Random fallback — without roles enabled, the platform matches randomly with no repeats.

Experience Design

Control the flow from start to finish.

Set the Total Room Duration (20-600 minutes) and 1:1 Call Duration (3-15 minutes per round). Optionally enable a 5-minute Intro room for a group welcome before matching begins, and an Outro call for closing remarks. The platform auto-calculates the maximum number of conversations based on your settings.

  • Intro & outro — optional 5-minute group calls to open and close the event.
  • Flexible duration — room duration from 20 to 600 minutes, 1:1 calls from 3 to 15 minutes.
  • Auto-calculated rounds — a 60-minute room with 6-minute calls gives up to 9 conversations.

Scheduling

Set it once. It repeats on its own.

Pick a date and timezone — participants see the event in their local time automatically. Toggle Recurring Room on and select a repeat frequency from the dropdown. Set an optional end date or let it run indefinitely. Each occurrence inherits the same settings — title, duration, call length, and access rules.

  • Five frequencies — Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, or Custom Days.
  • Optional end date — stop the recurrence after a specific date, or let it repeat indefinitely.
  • Configure once — every future occurrence inherits the same settings automatically.

Access & Visibility

Control who joins and how they find you.

The Access & Visibility Settings panel gives you three independent controls. Room Privacy toggles between Auto-Approve and Approval Required. Discoverability switches between Discoverable and Unlisted. Paid Event toggles between Free and Paid. A separate form toggle at the bottom lets you collect attendee data before anyone joins.

  • Room Privacy — Auto-Approve lets anyone with the link join; Approval Required lets you review each request.
  • Discoverability — Discoverable appears in search; Unlisted is accessible via direct link only.
  • Free or Paid — set a ticket price or keep the room free for all participants.

Room Details

The event page your participants land on.

Every speed networking room has its own detail page showing the host, title, date, time, tags, and a full description. Participants can toggle reminders, add the event to their calendar, download an attendance card, and browse the Members tab to see who else is attending — complete with name, title, company, and LinkedIn.

  • Event info — date, time, countdown, Auto-Approvals badge, and Mingling Room type at a glance.
  • Participant directory — the Members tab shows all registered attendees with name, title, and company.
  • Recordings & Discussions — post-event tabs for replays and async follow-up conversations.

Live Matching

One click to meet someone new.

The lobby shows all participants with real-time status — Available or In Call. Click Meet someone new and the platform pairs you into a 1:1 video call instantly. Each person is matched only once. When the timer runs out, the call ends and you're back in the lobby ready for the next round.

  • No-repeat matching — the algorithm ensures you never meet the same person twice.
  • Participant status — see who's Available and who's In Call in the sidebar.
  • Event info panel — room description and conversation tips visible alongside the matching view.

Email Invitations

Invite participants directly from the platform.

Open the Invite Guests by Email dialog from the room detail page. Add up to 5 email addresses per invitation, include an optional custom message (up to 500 characters), and hit Send Invitations. Recipients get a branded invitation with the room link and your personal note.

  • Batch invitations — add up to 5 email addresses per send.
  • Custom message — add a personal note to give context about the networking event.
  • Branded delivery — invitations carry your organization's branding automatically.

Connection Summary

Every connection persists after the event.

When the session ends, every participant sees a "That's a wrap!" summary showing how many connections they made. Click Share your session to post the results. Connections are saved to participant profiles, and the room's Members and Discussions tabs stay open for follow-up messaging.

  • Session recap — participants see their total connection count the moment the event ends.
  • Share your session — one-click sharing to promote the results externally.
  • Direct messaging — follow up with anyone you met through built-in messaging.

Event Sponsorship

Sponsor your networking events natively.

Add sponsors to any speed networking room from the Admin Panel. Configure sponsor branding — logo, card image, description, and call-to-action button — then control placements on the event details page and inside the room. Reuse sponsor records across events.

  • Placement types — Logo Bar, Skyscraper, Inline Compact, Header Logo, Floating Notification, Native Card, Banner Hero, Sidebar Tile, and Message Strip.
  • Tiered sponsors — assign Gold, Silver, or Bronze tiers to each sponsor.
  • Reusable records — save a sponsor once, reuse across any future event.
